More on 8-bit OSes

Further to the earlier article on 8-bit GUI-driven OSes, GORIM very kindly sent in this link to Future OS, a very different OS for the Amstrad CPC. Unlike some OSes, FutureOS was built for speed, and has a very interesting look.

You use the joystick to move around, and the icons are static. For example, that first and part of the second row are drive letters, and on the bottom row you can see the date and time. FutureOS supports up to 8 disc-drives and 4 HD Partitions, 512KB of Ram and a host of peripherals.
